“…just a partial guru-for-hire”
At 4:30AM on a Wednesday, before most people have pressed the snooze button twice, Rickey J. White, Jr. (RJW™) is on a conference call, mentoring interns and fellows while blasting “Interlude” by JAY Z. During the 35 minute dialogue where he delegates the assignments for the day, Mr. White pours a cup of coffee while looking at his schedule, approves the overnight requests—all before reading the news headlines and getting straight to work.
After almost nine years of flux, nine years of trial and error, nine years of success and failure. This is an average workday for RJW™. You would think he’s a member of #TeamNoSleep but in all actuality he’s a loyal member of #A1Naps (this isn’t a real group but you get the point). And who can blame him?
